Bethany House opened in 1986 and can house up to 32 women and children at any given time. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide shelter, case management, three meals a day, laundry facilities and supportive services.
In FY 2021, the Bethany House provided residential services to 382 women and 103 children for a total of 485 unduplicated individuals who received 16,326 nights of shelter. Shelter participants received 6,321 hours of case management services and 19,832 on-site meals were provided. Other services provided by the shelter include provision of laundry facilities, life enrichment classes and life skill training. While residing at the Bethany House, women with children are referred to our in-house Service Coordinator. The Service Coordinator assures appropriate linkages with available services to meet the needs of each child and assist the parent with honing in on their parental skills.
In FY 2021, non-residential homeless services were provided to 687 individuals. During this timeframe, Community Networks, Inc. provided 1,832 hours of case management to the non-residents who were in the DHHR Voucher hotel rooms. Non-residential assistance is available to the community through referrals and information linking the client to the appropriate agency of service provider.
